Ayurveda Education Process

Ayurveda Integrative Nutrition

Sessions start with two, scheduled 60 minute appointments. Frequency of Follow Up Care is determined after the initial meeting.

AYURVEDIC EDUCATION IS CUSTOMIZED TO THE SPECIFIC HEALTH NEEDS OF THE CLIENT.

  • First there is an exploration of a client's relationship to food, which involves food sourcing, food choices, knowledge of cooking, food combining, and learning of any food intolerances, as well as assessing how much water is consumed daily.

  • Second we look at a client’s relationship to exercise, stretching, spending time outside, and utilizing heat or hydro therapy such as saunas or hot tubs.

  • Next we look at the more quiet rituals of self-care such as: meditation, setting affirmations and intentions, and goal setting.

  • Finally we look at the client's home and work life influences, such as family and friends.

Having collected a working knowledge over time of a client's habits, I am then equipped with the knowledge to make a thorough assessment and plan for self-care for the individual.  These are 60 minute sessions.  I require at least two sessions with a new client. Depending on the condition of the client follow up sessions will be scheduled accordingly. Ayurveda is a lifestyle and the most benefit comes from a session a month, so that improvements can be accounted for, and real progress can be made over several months.
